Our work

Most of what we give goes to survivors of the Nova festival. The rest goes to the places that shaped Elisha. In 5786 (from Rosh Hashana to September 11, 2026) the fund granted $713,900.

Nova survivors

Elisha was at the Nova festival with Amitai and Noam, friends from his tank crew, who survived.

Therapy grants
A survivor chooses a licensed therapist. Once the sessions the state pays for are used, the fund pays the therapist directly, up to $125 a session. The survivor and the therapist review the plan every 20 sessions. This year: 2,640 sessions for 118 survivors, an average of $118 a session, $311,520 in all.
Weekend retreats
In the north, led by licensed clinicians: 6 this year, 212 participants, $83,400.
Study and work grants
Up to $2,000: tuition, a course, or tools for a new job. 41 grants this year, $47,850.
This year
$442,770

Hesder yeshivot and mechinot

Elisha learned at a hesder yeshiva from 2017 to 2022, and served in the Armored Corps as a tank gunner.

Scholarships
36 scholarships of $3,500 at 6 hesder yeshivot and 2 mechinot, including the yeshiva where Elisha learned.
Who chooses
The board sets how many scholarships each yeshiva and mechina receives, twice a year. Each institution's own committee chooses the students; we ask only that the scholarship go to a student whose family cannot pay full tuition.
This year
$126,000

Youth movements

Elisha was a Bnei Akiva madrich for three years; this is the program his Bnei Akiva friends asked for.

Seminars
9 training seminars for 240 madrichim from youth movement branches in Ra'anana and in towns in the south and north.
What a seminar is
Each seminar is two days of training for madrichim: leading a group through a hard year, noticing a child who is struggling, and knowing when to bring in a parent or a counselor. Youth movement educators and a school psychologist teach them.
This year
$57,900

Ra'anana community

Elisha's family has its shul and most of its friends in Ra'anana. At his yeshiva he baked challah for the whole beit midrash every Thursday night; now his friends open their Shabbat tables in his name.

Shabbat with Elisha's friends
Any survivor who would like a Shabbat with a host family in Ra'anana is welcome, from Friday afternoon to motzaei Shabbat. It is open to everyone, religious or not, and has nothing to do with applying for a grant. 32 Shabbatot this year, 404 guests.
Learning and memory
A monthly shiur and the yearly azkara.
This year
$87,230: $61,750 for Shabbat hosting and $25,480 for the monthly shiur and the yearly azkara.
